Frequently asked questions

The short answers. Anything missing, ask us on X. We never message first.

The collection

What is Inkvestment Bankers?

An investment bank on Ink. Apply at the desk. The team reviews every file, and every Banker we take on gets a portrait, unveiled when they sign. Each portrait is 48 by 48 pixels, comes with a tier, and carries votes on the Investment Committee, where holders vote on proposals about what the project Treasury buys and sells. The votes are a public signal: a vote never moves funds. The Treasury is one wallet (one key) controlled by the project; if it acts on a result, it does so outside the voting contract and records it on-chain, and the same wallet is the Committee's guardian and can cancel a proposal.

How many are there, and what do they cost?

There are 3,333 in total. You can mint one per wallet. The price is paid in ETH on Ink and is the amount shown in your wallet when you mint.

What are the tiers?

There are five. Rainmaker has 108 places and 5 votes. Closer has 323 places and 4 votes. Dealmaker has 643 places and 3 votes. Runner has 856 places and 2 votes. Cold Caller has 1,285 places and 1 vote.

Can my tier change?

Your tier is set when the offer is extended. It does not go up. If that tier is full when you mint, the Banker is placed in the next tier down, and you confirm that before you sign. Traits do not change after mint.

Is the art made by AI?

The portraits are drawn pixel by pixel in code from one fixed palette. No image-generation model was used.

Applying

How do I apply?

Connect your wallet and sign in, enter your X handle, then follow the project, repost the launch post and reply with your Application ID. After that the team reviews your application.

Why do you need my X handle?

The review looks at the account you enter, and that account must reply with your Application ID. The ID is made from your wallet and your handle together, so nobody else can reuse it.

Who can apply?

Anyone with a wallet that has some history and some funds. We do not publish the review criteria. Smart wallets such as Safe and Coinbase Smart Wallet are supported.

How long does the review take?

It takes time, and we do not promise a time. Your status stays on the apply page, so you can leave and come back.

What happens if I am rejected?

Your status page says “Your application was rejected.” and, when the reason is a plain fact about your wallet, says what it is. Decisions are final and there is no appeal, free or paid.

Can I apply with several wallets?

One wallet links to one X account, and one X account to one wallet. Groups of linked wallets have a limit.

Minting

When can I mint?

As soon as your application is approved. Applications are reviewed in batches, and each approved wallet can mint right away while its offer stands, until all 3,215 places are taken. An offer lasts 48 hours. Mint by the time shown on your status page, in your own time zone. After that the offer may be withdrawn and the place released. A new offer is not guaranteed.

How does minting work?

Press mint. We issue a permission that is valid for five minutes and works for your wallet only. Your wallet confirms the transaction, and the contract checks the permission and mints your Banker.

What if my tier is full?

A full tier is not offered. The team picks another tier. At mint, if the offered tier has filled, your Banker is placed in the next tier down. It never moves up. The Mint desk shows that before you sign.

What do I need in my wallet?

Enough ETH on Ink to cover the price shown in your wallet and a small network fee. Use the same wallet you applied with.

Which wallets work?

MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, Kraken Wallet and any wallet that supports WalletConnect.

Safety

What is the official site?

The only official site is inkvestmentbank.ink. When your wallet asks you to sign in or to confirm a mint, the request must name inkvestmentbank.ink. If it names anything else, close it. Copies of a mint page with a similar name are the most common trick.

Will you message me first?

Never. We do not send direct messages first, we never ask for a seed phrase, we never ask you to approve token spending to apply, and we never ask you to send ETH to a person. Anyone who does is not us.

Do recommendation codes cost anything?

No. Recommendation codes are free. They are never sold. Anyone who offers to sell you one is not us, and a code from a stranger may not work. A code adds weight to an application; it does not guarantee an offer.

Can I buy or sell a place?

No. Places cannot be bought or sold. A wallet sold or rented after an offer is revoked. If someone offers you an approval, a wallet or a key, walk away.

Can I pay to appeal a decision?

No. Nobody can appeal for a fee. Decisions are final. There is no appeal, free or paid. Anyone who offers one for a fee is not us.

What is the official contract?

The only official contract on Ink is 0x9628F5FFe1d2eE14C62Daca83C8C6b00c64acda5. Check any address against this page before you sign anything.

Is this investment advice?

No. Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and Inkvestment Bankers is not a fund. Only spend what you can afford to lose.

Is Inkvestment Bankers connected to other collections with similar names?

No. Always use the full name and check that the address bar shows inkvestmentbank.ink.
